1. How do I register for CMR HACKFEST 2.0?

2. What are the minimum requirements to participate in CMR HACKFEST 2.0?

ANS - A team of 3-6 students (from any engineering discipline/college) is eligible. All members must be students of B.E./B.Tech.

3. Is there any deadline for registering for CMR HACKFEST 2.0?

ANS - Yes, the registration deadline is 15th December 2024 (Sunday).

4. How long is the CMR HACKFEST 2.0 running for?

ANS - Hackathon runs for 36 hours.

5. Can I bring a ready-made project directly to CMR HACKFEST 2.0?

ANS - No, you should bring only components. Implementation should be done within the 36 hours of the hackathon.

6. Is there any spot registration?

ANS - No.

7. What if I never participated in a hackathon before?

ANS - No problem! Use this opportunity to prove yourself.

8. What are the prize details for the hackathon?

ANS - Total prize pool is up to Rs 1,50,000/-:
- The Winner: Rs 75,000/-
- 1st Runner-up: Rs 40,000/-
- 2nd Runner-up: Rs 20,000/-
- Three Consolation Prizes (Rs 5,000/- each, with one exclusive for girls' teams).
- Many more theme-wise prizes.

9. Is there any provision to attend virtually if unable to attend offline?

ANS - No, the event requires offline participation.

10. Are there any facilities provided for participants?

ANS - Accommodation with minimal facilities and food will be provided for free from 31st January (Breakfast) to 1st February (Dinner) 2025.

11. Who will be the jury members?

ANS - The jury will consist of industry and academic professionals.

12. What if I want to participate in multiple themes?

ANS - The same team is not allowed to participate in two different themes.

13. Is there any possibility of changing team members after registration?

ANS - Yes, but it should be informed well in advance.

14. Is a certificate provided for all participants?

ANS - Certificates are issued only to registered students who paid the fee and participated.

15. How are the winners decided?

ANS - Winners are decided based on performance across four rounds, evaluated by jury members.

16. Is there any provision for a participation certificate?

ANS - Yes, all students who paid and participated will receive a hard copy of the participation certificate.

17. Can I use the project in my career portfolio?

ANS - Yes.

18. Is there a registration fee?

ANS - Yes, Rs 400/- per student (includes accommodation and food).

19. What if I want to come and stay earlier?

ANS - Yes, you may plan your journey as per your convenience. Accommodation and food will be provided from 31st January (Breakfast) to 1st February (Dinner) 2025. Additional days will cost Rs 250/- per person per day.

ANS - Yes, contact details will be shared by the coordinators.

22. Can we take online support during the hackathon?

ANS - Yes, high-speed internet will be provided.

24. Do I need to carry a college ID card?

ANS - Yes, a college ID card is mandatory.

25. Do I need to be present for 36 hours?

ANS - Yes, attendance will be taken randomly. Teams not present will be disqualified.

26. Will there be breaks for refreshments/Freshups/Other Activities?

ANS - Yes, detailed schedules will be shared after shortlisting.
