2. What are the minimum requirements to participate in CMR HACKFEST 3.0?

ANS - A team of 3-6 students (with combination of any engineering discipline/college are eligible). All members must a student of B.E/B.Tech.

3. Is there any deadline for registering for CMR HACKFEST 3.0?

ANS - Yes, 22nd Nov 2025 (Saturday)

4. How long is the CMR HACKFEST 3.0 running for?

ANS - The Hackathon will span 36 hours, including registration, inaugural session, refreshment breaks, and valedictory. Participants will have 30 hours of active project development time.

5. Can I bring a ready-made project directly to CMR HACKFEST 3.0?

ANS - No, you should bring only components. Implementation should be done within the 36 hours of the hackathon.

6. Is there any spot registration?

ANS - No.

7. What if I never participated in a hackathon before?

ANS - No problem! Use this opportunity to prove yourself.

8. What are the prize details for the hackathon?

ANS - Total prize pool is up to Rs 2,00,000/-:
- The Winner: Rs 1,00,00/-
- 1st Runner-up: Rs 65,000/-
- 2nd Runner-up: Rs 25,000/-
- Three Consolation Prizes (Rs 5,000/- each, with one exclusive for girls' teams).
- Many more theme-wise prizes.

9. Is there any provision to attend virtually if unable to attend offline?

ANS - No, the event requires offline participation.

10. Are there any facilities provided for participants?

ANS - Separate accommodation (with minimum facilities) and food will be provided free of cost for boys and girls from 9th January (Breakfast) to 10th January (Dinner), 2026.

11. Who will be the jury members?

ANS - The jury will consist of industry and academic professionals.

12. What if I want to participate in multiple themes?

ANS - The same team is not allowed to participate in two different themes.

13. Is there any possibility of changing team members after registration?

ANS - Yes, but it should be informed well in advance.

14. Is the certificate given to the students who participated other than registered?

ANS - No, strictly the certificates will be issued only to the students who paid registration fee and participation is mandatory.

15. How are the winners of CMR HACKFEST 3.0 decided?

ANS - There will be four round evaluations. Based on performance in all rounds which will be decided by industry and academic experts (Jury Members).

16. Is there any provision for a participation certificate?

ANS - Yes, all students who paid and participated will receive a hard copy of the participation certificate.

17. Can I use the project in my career portfolio?

ANS - Yes.

18. Is there a registration fee?

ANS - Yes, Rs 550/- per student (which includes accommodation with minimum facilities & food during Hackathon dates)

19. What if I want to come and stay earlier?

ANS - Yes. You may plan your journey as per convenience. Accommodation and food would be provided for free from 09th January (Breakfast) to 10th January (Dinner) 2026. If you need hostel and food facility other than these dates you need to pay Rs.300/- per day per person. Participants opting for accommodation must submit a photocopy of the AADHAR Card at Hostel.

21. Are private hostels available nearby?

ANS - Yes, contact details will be shared by the coordinators.

22. Can we take online support during the hackathon?

ANS - Yes, high-speed internet will be provided.

24. Do I need to carry a college ID card?

ANS - Yes, College ID card is Mandatory. Participants opting for accommodation must submit a photocopy of the AADHAR Card at Hostel.

25. Do I need to be present for 36 hours?

ANS - Yes, Attendance would be taken randomly on regular basis. If any team is absent, it would be disqualified from the competition. Team to present for 36-Hours in the Hackathon.

26. Will there be breaks for refreshments/Freshups/Other Activities?

ANS - Yes, detailed schedules will be shared after shortlisting.

27. Where is the competition conducted?

28. Can I bring the Mentor/Parent along with me?

ANS - Yes, mentors or parents are allowed to stay in the hostel. However, they are required to pay ₹300/- per day separately. Please note that mentors or parents are strictly not allowed inside the hackathon venues.
